Petit de Beauvoir occupies a secluded site to the edge of St. Peter Port. The current owners of this existing two-storey dwelling required the building to be both re-modelled and extended to suit their requirements. Our solution to this brief was to create two new contemporary styled extensions extending out from both the rear and to the side of the existing house. The rear extension provides a new open plan dining/ living space connecting through to the remodelled kitchen. The slot glazing introduced above the new roof provides natural light into the centre of the building whilst the fully retractable slim line glazing and sliding doors provide an uninterrupted connection to the landscaped rear garden. The wing extension to the side of the house provides a gym and art room with a further glazed wall maintaining the connection with the garden.
