projects La Bouvee
Situated along the South coast cliff paths of Guernsey, La Bouvee comprises a traditional Victorianised farmhouse building, with a large 1960s two-storey addition to the rear of the property connected to the main house via a carport. Our brief was to remodel the rear extension to provide extended living facilities at ground floor with new master bedroom suite at first floor level. Unusually, the original extension was reduced in both length and height in order to reconnect the original house with the garden. The extension successfully combines traditional and modern features, whilst opening up views of the landscaped garden to the rear of the main house. A small lean-to extension to the rear of the kitchen provides light and airy dining facilities with access onto a paved terrace area.
