Our brief was to upgrade and extend the existing dwelling, which included demolishing the existing conservatory and replacing with a new part glazed pitched roof extension in order to provide a more spacious and inviting open plan kitchen/dining/family room area. The existing kitchen extension to the rear of the property was modified and fully refurbished and now forms the heart of the dwelling. The extension was designed to extend to the side of the dwelling to provide a more accessible front entrance door.
Externally the existing garden and adjoining land were remodelled with terrace extended to provide an enlarged external seating area. The proposals also included the upper garden (which was originally classified as agricultural land), incorporated to form an enlarged garden achieved through extending the existing domestic curtilage.
At first floor level a new dormer with inset balcony was added to provide much needed additional space to the attic bedroom, whilst providing views across the rear garden.
On viewing Creates website for ideas to better utilise the small spaces in our 1930,s bungalow, we were immediately drawn to the projects Create had already undertaken. Our initial meeting with James got off to a great start and he quickly helped develop our ideas into a design which we became very excited about. Throughout the whole process nothing was too much trouble for James and the team at Create. We are extremely happy with the finished design and now enjoy a fantastic home which fits nicely to our lifestyle.
