Saumarez Park Pergola

Create are delighted to be working with Pat Johnson (Floral Guernsey) on this unique and exciting project in Saumarez Park. The proposals include a new oak frame pergola which has been designed to replace the original structure which once stood on the raised podium overlooking the rose gardens below.

We have worked closely with Pat and Border Oak on the design and detailing of the new structure, and also on its construction. Remedial works were required to the existing dressed stone base to the perimeter of the raised podium in preparation to receive the new oak frame. The remedial works were completed by Conlon Builders.

The pergola is in memory to John Ramplin, a philanthropist and English gentleman who spent many happy hours in Saumarez Park, and has been generously funded by the John Ramplin Trust – see link to the website
